Introduction
Student admission is one of the most important administrative activities in any school.
Maintaining accurate admission numbers, student details, parent information, and class assignments helps schools organize their records from the beginning.
Adhyan Parivesh Pro simplifies student admission through a centralized Student Admission module.
Before You Begin
Ensure that your school has:
An active academic session.
Classes and sections configured.
Student and parent information ready.
Fee groups prepared, if fees will be assigned during admission.
Step 1: Open Student Admission
Navigate to:
Student Information → Student Admission
Select the option to add a new student.
Step 2: Enter Student Information
Complete the required fields:
Admission Number
Roll Number
First Name
Gender
Date of Birth
Class
Section
Use the Auto option where available to generate the next admission or roll number.
The admission number must be unique within the school.
Step 3: Enter Parent Information
Provide the father's name and phone number when creating a new parent account.
If the family already has a child enrolled in the school, select Link to Existing Parent.
This allows siblings to be associated with the same parent account.

When siblings are linked correctly, parents can access their children's information through one account rather than maintaining separate accounts for each child.
Step 4: Assign Fees During Admission
Where applicable, select the student's fee group during admission.
You may also enter an opening due balance when transferring records from a previous system or carrying forward an existing balance.
Step 5: Save the Admission Record
After saving, the system creates the student record, enrols the student in the selected class and section for the current academic session, and creates student and parent login accounts.
The login details are displayed immediately after admission.
Keep the credentials available for secure delivery to the family.
Step 6: Admit Multiple Students Using Bulk Import
For larger admissions, use the Bulk Import option available from the Student List.
Download the system's CSV template.
Enter student details in the specified columns.
Confirm that class and section names match existing records.
Upload the completed file.
Review the import results and any reported row-level errors.
Import students in manageable batches and verify a few records before importing the remaining students.
Step 7: Share Parent and Student Login Details
Open the student's profile and use the relevant credential options.
The system provides Send Student Pass and Send Parent Pass.
These options can reset the account password to its default value. Use them carefully, particularly when a parent has already changed their password.
For a password reset, the profile also provides a Regenerate Password option that creates a random password for manual delivery.
Encourage families to change initial passwords and follow the school's recommended login security practices.
Common Student Admission Problems
Student's class is missing: Check whether the class has at least one section.
Admission number already exists: Use Auto or assign a unique number.
Parent sees only one child: Check whether the siblings are linked to the same parent account.
Bulk import remains processing: Ask the system provider to verify that the required scheduled background job is running.
Student is missing from the active class list: Check the student's status under Disabled Students.
